See moreWith the arrival of fall, it will be getting darker sooner, and while that means your favorite outdoor activities might have to wait for the weekend, your favorite indoor activity (happy hour, of course) is getting a dark and delicious refresh with aged tequilas perfect for sipping alone or as a whiskey substitute.
Give your next old fashioned a new twist
If you’re going to go old fashioned, you might as well go all the way. The Oldest Fashioned takes on the classic whiskey version by incorporating PATRÓN Extra Añejo, a tequila aged for at least three years in American, French and Hungarian oak barrels.
Upgrade a Manhattan in a New York minute
The Manhattan, a typically-mixed-with-whiskey cocktail, gets a vacation from the usual spirit in the more modern version, the Mazatlán. PATRÓN Reposado gives this cocktail a subtle hint of oak from the resting process, which lasts for at least two months.
Sip a Whiskey Sour... sans whiskey
A whiskey sour by any other name wouldn’t be sweeter per se, but it would be a San Clemente Sour, the PATRÓN tequila version featuring PATRÓN Reposado. This spirit is lightly aged in used American bourbon barrels, so whiskey sour purists will be pleased.
Take a Hot Toddy to the next level
Warm up to the idea of an elevated hot toddy with the PATRÓN Touchdown Toddy, a warm lemon and honey cocktail made for chilly Sundays spent watching the game. PATRÓN Añejo adds the tequila twist, and a slight oak wood flavor from being aged for over 12 months.
