A Cocktail-Filled Week in Review
Take a glimpse back at what kind of fun was served up every day at 2017 London Cocktail Week.
Oct. 8, 2017
After a week of drinking our way around a world of flavor, we are reminded why London Cocktail Week is one of the most exciting weeks of the year. For the many cocktail-lovers that flocked to this week-long fiesta, the bright white Cocktail Lab bar with oversized Patrón bottle served as a beacon for everyone who was looking for the hottest cocktail there. Big bartending names, bigger inspirations, and glamorous drinks ruled the week in a way that is worth reliving.
Monday began in Greece with flavors coming from famed bartender Nikos Bakoulis who served up the dazzling Patrón Echo, a citrusy and Mezcal infused sip. Tuesday took us back in time by a couple of weeks with the It’s Summer from José Luis Leon in all of its sweet and fruity glory straight from Mexico. Wednesday took our taste buds on a trip to Thailand with the Tom Yum from Shingo Gokan and Thursday brought us closer to home with the Patrón Agave Sherry from London’s own Alex Lawrence. The weekend was a trip, zooming from the flavors of New York City in Curry Leaves, to Melbourne in the Death Flip and going out with a bang on Argentina’s flavors in the El Clericot de Retiro from Renato Giovannoni.
Every day had something unique to offer our palates, with sights, sounds, and sips ruling in new ways. We came, we saw, and we conquered the bar, but now it’s time to call it a day (and a week).
Until next year. Patrón: out!
