See moreOver 1,000 cocktail connoisseurs turned up for the first day’s festivities and Patrón Tequila’s presence was grand as ever, with a six-foot-tall bottle acting as a beacon to their space, known as Cocktail Lab, in the center of Spitalfields London Cocktail Week village.
Nathan Shearer, the first of seven world-renowned bartenders crafted the Patrón City Lights cocktail, further solidifying the tequila’s space in the limelight to all who got a taste. A bartender at London’s own Callooh Callay, Nathan’s cocktail incorporated British ingredients and a flavor profile that’s very well received in the UK – bitter and sweet with the vegetal notes of Patrón Reposado. He noted his inspiration for this drink was the British pears that are currently in season, and of course, delicious.
In addition to the Patrón City Lights, Nathan treated guests to a classic Patrón Margarita and Patrónic – a Patrón and Tonic.
