Summer Music Festivals Hit a New Note
Sure, Kanye may be headlining the concert, but everyone is also lining up for the hottest food truck.

Summer is full of music festivals all over the country. These days, music lovers flock to the stages to see their favorite artists, but there’s a new expectation: good food from renowned chefs and restaurants.
We recommend you make 2016 the summer you follow the music (and the food) around the country. Over the next three months, these are the festivals that will sound just as good as they taste.
Start on June 3 at Governors Ball on Randall’s Island. This three-day event will feature some of the country’s best artists, like The Strokes, The Killers, Haim and Kanye West. Concertgoers will be able to refuel with Sean Meenan’s Mexican bites from Cafe Habana and “farm-to-sandwich” sandwiches from Landhaus.
Then head to Chicago on July 28 for Lollapalooza. This year marks the festival’s 25th anniversary, and on the eight stages, guests will see spectacular artists like Lana Del Rey, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ellie Goulding. While the vendor list hasn’t yet been announced, you can expect favorites such as Reggies Chicago and The Smoke Daddy Barbecue.
Cap off the summer with three-day festival Electric Zoo on September 2 to 4 on Randall’s Island in New York City. This electronic music festival will play host to renowned artists like Tiësto, Bassnectar and Steve Aoki, along with 30 food vendors. In 2015, the lineup included Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and Calexico.
