What is tequila bottling?

Tequila bottling is an intricate process that preserves the robust flavors of agave and the smooth finish we relish. It involves the delicate process of filling, sealing, and labeling the bottles before they are ready to be savored by tequila enthusiasts everywhere. At PATRÓN Tequila, we honor every phase of this artful journey, ensuring each bottle encapsulates the essence of our premium tequila—and that means bottling by hand.

How does PATRÓN bottle tequila?

After the tequila has gone through the fermentation, distillation and (in some cases) aging processes, it's time for bottling. Our bottles are first pre-rinsed with tequila before being filled up. Preserving the quality and integrity of the small-batch tequila during this stage is crucial to conserving its unique flavors and aromas. After they are filled, each of our bottles are hand-labeled.

PATRÓN Tequila bottles have a beautiful glass design with a uniquely recognizable silhouette, along with sustainably harvested fine Portuguese cork. The natural cork is washed, cut and refined many times; while using synthetic corks could be faster and easier, it wouldn’t honor our artisanal process. Only natural corks expand and contract with the bottle, making the seal just right. Together, bottle and cork protect the handcrafted tequila within so that when it’s ready for you to enjoy, it’s nothing less than simply perfect.

Why is everything done by hand?

Our entire tequila-making process takes place at Hacienda Patrón, where we only make PATRÓN. And we take pride in everything about it. Every bottle is hand-packaged by the bottling team, who also ensure the final product is nothing short of perfection. Over 60 hands will touch and inspect every bottle before it leaves the distillery.
