We're Serving Those Who Serve Us
Supporting the community and local businesses
Mar. 23, 2020
Daily life as we know it has been interrupted. As social distancing becomes the new norm, and the ripple effects of COVID-19 continue to spread, the hospitality industry is taking a big hit. In direct response, Patrón and our parent company, Bacardi Limited, have taken steps to support those in the hospitality industry who need it most.
As part of Bacardi Limited, we have launched #RaiseYourSpirits, an initiative to support bars and restaurants debilitated by the COVID-19 shutdown. Bacardi has donated $3,000,000, in addtition to Patrón’s $1,000,000 pledge, for financial relief and other support to help the people on the frontlines of our business during this unimaginable time.
It’s more important than ever to stay connected and support our communities and local businesses.
Many Ways to Help
Coming together and supporting each other in difficult times is essential to building a stronger community. Patrón and Bacardi have teamed up with several non-profit partners of the hospitality industry, which are providing a wide range of services for members of the industry affected by the coronavirus.
United States Bartenders’ Guild is providing COVID-19 relief grants to members of the bartending community through the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.
Tales of the Cocktail Foundation provides education around minimizing the effects of COVID-19. While their 2020 cocktail festival has been canceled, ticket holders have the option of having their refundable ticket price donated to the TOTCF’s designated local service project in Puerto Rico.
Another Round, Another Rally is supporting front of house and back of house staff in the food and beverage industry around the nation who are in need of micro grants, while they are out of work due to the COVID-19 crisis.
CORE is distributing critical funds for essential needs to directly affected families of restaurant employees, that may include medical supplies/equipment, gas, groceries, clothing, therapy, utilities, rent and mortgage payments.
The James Beard Foundation has a three-prong approach to the COVID-19 crisis, to keep restaurants operational, lobbying for relief at local, state and federal levels and regional advocacy programs to drive the public back into restaurants once the crisis ends.
Every little bit helps. During this time of uncertainty, consider donating to a charity of your choice. By working together, we can make a trying time seem a little bit brighter.
We are encouraging all to join in on the #RaiseYourSpirits campaign and provide relief directly to the bar and restaurant community by:
