From the Aged Tequila Series
See moreWith an age statement bold enough to entice any tequila connoisseur, Patrón Extra Añejo 10 Años more than delivers on its luxurious promise of flavor. Though unlike other aged spirits, if tequila spends too much time in the barrel, it can lose its distinctive agave flavor as well as a considerable volume to evaporation—the “angels share.” To combat this, the oldest-ever tequila release from Patrón is masterfully aged in a combination of American oak barrels and hybrid American/French Limousin barrels. This unique aging process imparts a milder than usual influence on the 10-year-old tequila.
Sipped neat like whiskey, Patrón Extra Añejo 10 Años offers a smooth and sweet well-balanced flavor, an aroma of intense vanilla, dry fruits and citrus, plus a long-lasting finish of oak and vanilla. If you’re more of a cocktail enthusiast, it mixes well for the rich and extravagant experience listed below.
