A Crisp New Cocktail for Fall
Oct. 12, 2016
While fall is great everywhere, autumn in New York is leagues above the rest—why else would they have named a song after it? The crunch of leaves in Central Park, the crisp chill as you hail a cab: It’s pure magic.
For the feature cocktail at Patrón’s Secret Dining Society event in the Big Apple, mixologist Jason Littrell took inspiration from the city’s best season, aiming to create something crisp, sophisticated and timeless.
Cool as a Cucumber
- Mint leaves, for muddling, plus a sprig for garnish
- 2 cucumber disks, one for muddling, one for garnish
- 2 oz Patrón Reposado
- .75 oz fresh lime juice
- .75 oz simple syrup
- Ice
In a shaker, gently muddle the mint and cucumber. Add the remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Finely strain the mixture into a port glass; garnish with the mint sprig and a cucumber disk. Serve with sipping straws.
